UPDATE 5/19/24: Please drop off scorecards at Camp MFP or give to Gene X. If you weren’t able to – contact Gene and we can add you to the MatchPlay or you can send a pic of the scorecard so we can get all the scores – thanks for playing!!!

NOTE: We are out of score cards so keep track on your own or add yourself to this MatchPlay event. Or if you have a printer you can print out a scoresheet here!

Thanks for coming out to play in the 3rd Annual GSPF Camp Silverball Pin Golf Invitational! This is open to all GSPF attendees and the rules are simple – come find Gene X Hwang to get a scoresheet first, but if you’re here you probably scanned the back of a scoresheet.

Here’s the listing of holes which are scattered about the campground aka Camp Silverball. The holes are arranged by proximity from the first hole near the main pinball hall and throughout the campgrounds.

You must play with at least one other person and don’t have to finish all the holes – just play whatever you like at your leisure. Find Gene X Hwang to return your scoresheets after you are finished (even if you don’t want to finish the course). You may also leave them for him at Camp MFP where holes 8 & 9 are located.

Each hole will have an objective which can be to perform something like “start any multiball” or just a target score to reach. If you achieve the objective on ball one, that’s a hole-in-one and you would mark it as a “1” on your scoresheet for that hole. If you don’t achieve the objective after all the balls you would mark it as a “4” on a 3-ball game or a “6” on a 5-ball game. Then just go through all the holes in whatever order you like and return your scoresheet. Scores must be submitted by 1am on Sunday morning (Sat late night)

Holes & Machines:

Hole 1: Fire! make the flame thrower go off – you must shoot up the ramp up the middle (you must figure out how to do this on your own but the payoff is worth it!)

Hole 2: Star Wars in the form of Frankenpin (in the open shaded tent near the free standing Fire! machine) – it looks like a BM66 from the side, or is that a Jaws backglass? and a playfield of Star Wars Pro! To score par on this just light Light Saber battle on the left ramp. You can advance the FORCE letters by completing sets of the drop targets or hitting the single flashing one (I think). You can do it in multiball too. May the Force Be With you!

Hole 3: Devil’s Dare – find this behind the outdoor amphitheater in a secret spot backstage! This par is definitely the work of the devil. You must lock a ball (or start a multiball). To light locks, hit the drops in the middle lock it at the shot on the left. If you hit a lit blue inlane and shoot a lock you can start an instant MB too!

Hole 4: The Walking Dead – this tent is near Jackson Hall and in a tent with a Camp Silverball banner on it (next to the amazing Tiltallica!) The par is to Start Bicycle Girl – to do this kill five walkers around the playfield and then hit the left ramp. You’ll see Bicycle Girl active as a mode then.

Hole 5: Foo Fighters – in the blow-up tee pee! Climb in and get 2x Scoring started to get par on this! You can shoot the right orbit so long as it goes all the way past the right loop above the right slingshot three times to activate the 2x Scoring insert! Tip: You can also short plunge that lane when the insert is at the top to spot that shot 1x

Hole 6: Cactus Canyon Continued: this one is fun and just around the corner – this is not your standard Cactus Canyon or a remake but the Continued code, which you will start Drunk Multiball on to get par! You ever hit that beer standup on the left ramp? Well in CCC it does something! Hit it enough times (5-6x?) to light Drunk Multiball at the Salon which is that big hole below that hombre up the middle, then enjoy drunk multiball for a bit! 🍻

Hole 7: Monster Bash – this is at the big RV straight back from CCC and you will need to start Mosh Pit Multiball – to do this shoot up the middle spinner until the Most Pit insert is lit in front of the scoop. Typically this is six shots up the middle and then hit the scoop.

Hole 8: Stranger Things – a nice par here at Camp MFP back along the fence (listen for the music) – just start Trap Em multiball up the middle to get part and maybe enjoy the Big Lebowski or Pulp Fiction while you are there. The second demigorgon mode is a multiball called Trap Em. Complete sets of drop to advance demigorgon modes. Tip: you can complete a set of drops by sneaking it into the hole behind the drops without having to drop all the drops so drop the middle two and then shoot through the hole there.

Hole 9: Night Moves – this cocktail is in the white tent in the same MFP area in the living room – you’ll recognize it as such. Sit down and lock a ball (or start multiball) here to get par! One lock will always be lit so shoot a ball into that shot. If you start a multiball through a mystery award or similar, then that counts too.

Hole 9: (New Alternate) – since Night Moves is down, you can play Pabst Can Crusher in the tent at the corner towards the parking lot exit/entrance in the triple tent with an opening in the middle. Light three pop bumpers to score par. Pop Bumpers are lit by going through ton lanes on the left. Note that Can Crusher is 5-ball so the maximum score for the hole is 6.

Any issues with machines you’ll just have to deal with – often owners of the machines will be nearby so say hello and thanks and enjoy Camp Silverball.

Prizes from Marco Pinball and Stern Pinball! (The Marco shipment was lost however, so we may not get those in time – but at least there are some brand new John Wick’s to keep you occupied). Thanks for playing along and please return your score cards to Gene in person or at Camp MFP.

Congrats to Glenn Habas for winning the Stern Pinball shirt for taking 4th (3rd since I played but am not able to win any prizes 🙂
