We’re back at Alamo Drafthouse and got a fun tournament series that we’ll be trying out a bunch of different formats at! First up is Pin Bowling, because, well, there is The Big Lebowski pinball at Alamo!
Two of the Three dates of the series will count towards your final ranking and making the playoffs. Each night is $5 to play with cash prizes to winners of each night as well as the overall tournament.
Tournament 1: Monday March 20, 2017 @ 7:30pm – Pin Bowling
Tournament 2: Monday April 3, 2017 @ 7:30pm – Pin-Golf
Tournament 3: Monday April 17, 2017 @ 7:30pm – Ladders
Playoffs: Monday May 1, 2017 @ 7:30pm
Pin-Golf: tentative goals – basically you try to reach a score. All holes are Par 3 meaning you should be able to reach them on 3-strokes (aka 3-balls). If you get it on ball one, that’s a Hole in One, etc. If you don’t get it after ball 3, the score is prorated up to ten strokes…
Ladders: Ladders will be implemented a little bit differently since this tournament won’t use a single large ladder because that would take too long. Instead, depending on the # of people we have, we’ll have ladders in groups of 3-4 people. Each group will play and the person who gets last place is eliminated. Then the groups will be reconfigured with the remaining players and this will continue. At some point when we reach 4 players, we will just play that same four player group out until only one person remains as champion.
Our Ladders top two (1st Brian O’Neill – again!) and 2nd Jack Olson:
Pin Bowling: If you haven’t done Pin Bowling here’s some of the rules we’ll be using.
Our pin-bowling top two – 1st Brian O’Neill, 2nd Jared Garvey:
